Dr. Brian Kerr is a Board Certified Anesthesiologist who has been specializing in Cosmetic Medicine since 1999. With his wife and business partner, Susie, Dr. Kerr owned and operated Silk Touch Cosmetic Surgery, Lipo, & Medpa. This state-of-the-art facility is home to both his surgical practice and a Medical Spa.
Silk Touch has expanded internationally, drawing patients from across the globe, including faraway places such as Dubai, Australia, and Germany and Denmark. These patients seek a liposuction specialist with an artistic eye and a focus on detail. Patients are willing to travel great distances to get the results they desire. Dr. Brian Kerr is a fellow of the American Society of Cosmetic Physicians as well as a recurring featured speaker and educator at the annual ASOCP conference.
Dr. Kerr and Cosmetic Technology
Beginning in 1993, Dr. Kerr practiced as a partner of Boise Anesthesia Physician’s Association for 16 years at St. Al’s Hospital, serving as president of the group for several years. In 2008 he retired as the senior staff member in order to attend full-time to his aesthetic practice. He is a graduate of the University of Utah Medical School and specialized in a 3-year anesthesia residency at the world-famous Mayo Clinic.
Over the years, as cosmetic technology has increased, Dr. Kerr has been at the forefront, bringing the latest and greatest technologies to Idaho. He was among the first to bring Laser Hair Removal to the valley in 1999 and has continued to add new technologies as they have developed over the years. He has many firsts including the combination of Vaser Ultrasound-assisted liposuction with Smartlipo for a better aesthetic outcome. He has introduced DOT CO2 Fractional laser for skin resurfacing, Pelleve and Venus Freeze for skin tightening and recently added the latest technology in Hair Restoration, the NeoGraft Hair Restoration system.
Dr. Kerr has trained and consulted with doctors from around the country teaching his Smartlipo, Vaser, and Vibration Assisted Liposuction techniques, as well as giving training in advanced Botox and injectable techniques. Recently he was chosen to speak to his peers at the 2014 American Association of Cosmetic Physicians on his liposuction techniques for knees, calves, and ankles.
Dr. Kerr and his staff have performed over 75,000+ combined liposuction, injectable and cosmetic procedures in the past 20+ years. Silk Touch holds the distinction of being both an Allergan Black Diamond Provider and a Suneva Diamond Level Account, establishing our practice as the leading injectable provider in Idaho and one of the top providers in the nation. Dr. Kerr and his team practice the “art of medicine” by using an artistic eye and medical skill in determining the best approach for each client. Silk Touch is also a Top 250 Allergan account, placing us in top 1% of providers of Botox and Allergan fillers nationally.

An accomplished artist, Dr. Kerr specializes in watercolor, pencil drawings and sculpture. His paintings have often been displayed in St. Al’s Hospital and other venues. He has received numerous juried awards. His focus has been to offer cosmetic procedures gently and with unmatched artistic talent.
