Who is a good candidate for under eye fillers?

If you are experiencing under eye hollowness, circles, bags or shadows – then you are probably a good candidate for under eye fillers or tear trough correction.

While every patient is different, our advanced injectors are trained in unique skills such as diagnosing the degree of volume loss to determine whether you are candidate for tear trough fillers and how much you need.

What under eye fillers do you use?

Our team of advanced injectors believe hyaluronic acid fillers are the best option for the under eye areas. Our most popular under eye filler is Restylane Lyft.

It’s important to note that a filler that may be right for one person, may not be for another. Our practice carries all FDA approved fillers on the market including all brands of Juvederm, Restylane and Radiuses fillers.

How long do under eye fillers last?

Under eye fillers like Restylane Lyft are FDA approved for a duration of 18+months. However in the under eye area, we tend to see results last around a year.

Downtime is very minimal with this quick injection treatment. While results are immediate, you may experience some slight swelling or bruising in the injection site. This can be minimized by taking allergy medicine such as clariton, and supplements for bruising such as Arnica. Both can be found at your local health store.

Also avoid alcohol for 48 hours prior to injection and blood thinners for 2 weeks prior. That includes tylenol, fish oil, etc..

Under eye fillers can help with the appearance of dark circles. Fillers increase collagen which helps thicken the skin. The increased volume in the area helps to reduce dark circles and gives patients a more youthful look.

We prefer cannulas when filling the under eye area because it typically results in less bruising, bleeding, and swelling. We believe this is more comfortable for patients and provides a smoother look.

Yes! Under eye filler or tear trough injections are often paired with anti-aging treatments such as Botox, Lip Filler or Cheek Fillers for over all rejuvenation.

Yes. However, having fillers injected into the under eye area does have risks if you have the injections performed by an inexperienced injector. (like any filler treatment) That is not the case with our team of advanced injectors. Our team of award winning injectors provide more injectable treatments than anyone else in the state of Idaho. You can feel confident knowing that you are in experienced hands.
